OK I know I promised a blog like a week ago, but I haven't been my upbeat self. I have been really depressed because I hate where we live. I have already had my melodramatic moment on Facebook about that (smh), cried some...OK alot, and went on a search. The search is for a trailer or double-wide to move back behind my in-laws house. The search has been derailed due to snow....CURSES THE WHITE STUFF....but we have looked online to see our options. Some of these places are ridiculous! By that I mean, when I think of a modular home I just think of a cozy modern place to call home. Talk about modern, you can live like a celebrity in some of the ones we saw! The one Steven is in love with has a theater. That's right a THEATER! Complete with recliners that have cup holders and a snack area. I always assumed if I had a home theater, then I was 1 step away from starring on MTV Cribs but this is 2011. I can have a factory fresh one delivered with a 3 bedroom house attached, for a fraction of the price celebs pay! The one I am in love with has an outdoor kitchen. Picture a deck with a built in mini fridge and grill, plus plenty of counter space. This place is awesome! We saw all kinds of things from wet bars, to hidden retreats, and even a mini sports bar!
I know I got you all excited, but don't plan any parties at my house yet. Though they are not as expensive as I would have thought, I do work retail asset protection. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a garden tub and walk in closet and will be happy. The goal is just to be in a relaxing place where we feel safe, and can start a family.
I've been known to be a positive Polly, and can't stand to be in this funk. In order to get out of it, I have thrown myself into my hobbies:
1. Jewelry Making- I have 2 more classes scheduled with Kelly. A charm workshop, and basic bracelet class. Plus she is making a bracelet for me that I hope to eventually learn
2. Cooking- I am more a baker and our oven is DOA. To soothe my nerves I have been scouring the net and bookstores for recipes. I also bought my first recipe book to organize them all. Normally I have about a million little pieces of paper with recipes on them. I can never find them when I am ready to try.
3. Annoying the Hubby- I almost have this one down to an art form! My favorite prank to date: I took several little plastic cups, the kind you use for the bathroom, and waited until he took a bath. After he was good and relaxed, I went into the bathroom and flung the cups in the tub. He was so confused that he got out of the tub a few minutes later (sure you're loving these mental images) and asked why I did it. LOL sorry I know this is pointless, and it really was. I had no reason, the cups were available and I couldn't think of anything else. But the confused look on his face was priceless! I couldn't very well tell him the reason was simply to make me happy!!
